Daily analysis, November 13 – Teachers Tournament QF #3

November 13, 2013

We’ll be over the hump after tonight’s game – and we’ll have our first two eliminated players. Who will they be?

There was a bit too much guessing tonight for my liking; as a result we have some lower scores.

Eli Barrieau: 12,200
James Brown: 6,600
Karen Cafaro: 9,000

The left podium is on fire! Somewhat surprised to see Eli not go for the win here, but it’s good that he at least wagered to lock out James.

Final Jeopardy wagers November 13 2013

With that, the chances of our third-place finisher on Monday, Rico, jump to 23% from 6%. Kati is eliminated.

Quarterfinal winners:

Anne Baxter
Patrick Dillon
Eli Barrieau

Wild-card standings, with estimated probability of advancing in parentheses:

Mary Beth Hammerstrom: 20,000 (99%)
Katie Moriarty: 16,400 (97%)
Rico Vazquez: 11,400 (23%)
Karen Cafaro: 6,000 (1%)
Kati Sorenson: 399
James Brown: 0

The Final Jeopardy! clue for November 13, 2013:

MYTHOLOGY
RICH WITH ELECTRUM, THE TURKISH RIVER PACTOLUS IS WHERE THIS LEGENDARY MAN WAS SAID TO HAVE WASHED OFF HIS CURSE

Correct response: Who was King Midas?
